Over eight years ago I was invited by my spin instructor to try CrossFit which was meeting in a garage in Herndon. I have always been competitive and up for a challenge and I fell in love with CrossFit and the community. I became a coach 7 years ago and have a Level 1 and Level 2 certifications. Not only did I love competing and coaching but I also enjoyed being a Judge. First I judged at my box during the Open and then at CrossFit Regionals and eventually for 3 years at the CrossFit Games. For 2 years I was a referee for the National Professional Grid League which is professional level team sport that incorporates many of CrossFit type movements as well as more advanced skills. In addition to my CrossFit life, I am a triathlete who has competed in over 50 races, including 14 half Ironmans and 3 Ironmans. I have qualified for the Ironman World 70.3 Championships for the last 3 years. In my spare time, I am a lawyer. In that garage many years ago, I met a very young Katie Hanger. We immediately bonded as kindred spirits in health, physical fitness, education and coaching. I am very excited to join the Parable family as a coach and in Katie’s vision of health and fitness excellence.
